Successful completion of the latest phase of sheet piling on the M42 Junction 6

DAWSON WAM has successfully completed the latest phase of sheet piling on the M42 Junction 6, contributing to safety and capacity enhancements for this crucial piece of transportation infrastructure that will, in turn, support economic growth and planned development in the region.

The project involved the installation of extensive continuous sheet pile walls, some reaching up to 17 metres in depth. All piles were successfully installed into significant depths of mudstone, in accordance with the design requirements.

In a highly collaborative effort with Skanska, we achieved substantial carbon savings for the project by utilising ArcelorMittal's EcoSheetPileᵀᴹ Plus sheet piles, employing steel mats in place of granular platforms, and adopting alternative fuel sources to further our transition away from fossil fuels.
