London: Gerrards Cross

DAWSON-WAM was contracted by Frankis Solutions to install 108no. contiguous piles as part of a site stabilisation works on a site which had recently shown the initial signs of ground slippage. The works were required to enable continuation of works for a new high spec. living apartment complex.

Piles installed were 650mm in diameter and ranged between 10 and 14m in length. Piles were installed into through the stiff London clays and into the underlying chalk layers. Steel universal beams were used as an alternative to steel reinforcement to aid installation and reduce fabrication times.
