Secant basement piling commences at Imperial College London

We are excited to be working for GRAHAM Group on their prestigious new development for Imperial College London. The works sees the building of a new School of Public Health (SPH) at Imperial College London’s White City Campus in West London.
DAWSON-WAM’s works include the construction of 100m of hard/hard secant wall around the perimeter of the site on three sides to allow a 5m excavation for a basement level. Secant piles were install up to 24.2m long due to the axial load on the wall, and were formed using Cased CFA techniques on our powerful Bauer RTG RG27S. The rig was then switched over to CFA mode to allow installation of 130nr 600mm diameter bearing piles to over 30m.
