Retirement of Raymond Boyd

Last Friday marked the retirement of Raymond Boyd, a cornerstone of our Plant Department here at DAWSON WAM. After 42 years of dedicated service as a welder, Raymond hung up his gear, leaving behind an incredible legacy of craftsmanship, consistency, and character.

Known for his skilled and thorough approach, uncompromising quality, and of course, his unique personality, Raymond was foundation on which the Carryduff workshop was built.

To honour his retirement, we brought together 25 of his workshop colleagues for a well earned BBQ celebration at our Carryduff workshop, a fitting send-off for someone who’s welded more than just steel, but the team itself.

Thank you, Raymond, for everything. Wishing you all the best in this new chapter, you’ve certainly earned it.
