Mental Health Awareness Week 2024

We at DAWSON WAM are proud to support the Mental Health Foundation this Mental Health Awareness Week – 13 to 19 May.

This year’s theme is movement: moving more for our mental health. One of the most important things we can do to help protect our mental health is to ensure we get regular movement.

Our bodies and our minds are intertwined and therefore, looking after ourselves physically also helps us prevent problems with our mental health.

If moving throughout the day at work is hard, here’s a few ways you can introduce small amounts of movement;
·       Find time to move, for example, whilst waiting on the kettle to boil
·       Take regular breaks to stand up, from the desk, the car or the machine
·       Set small movement goals and increase these over time
·       10 minutes of brisk walking on your break can help boost your mood
