DAWSON-WAM completes the last of the piling in Middlesbrough for Balfour Beatty
The last of our 1200mm diameter marine piles going into Manhattan Gate Project in Middlesbrough for Balfour Beatty plc. Marine piles were cored through the dock base and into underlying mudstone to facilitate the construction of a new lifting road bridge. DAWSON-WAM completed both the land and marine based piles
Safety Award for the Newtownards Road Pipeline Squad
Congratulations to Darren Clarke and his pipeline squad on winning the latest DAWSON-WAM Safety, Health & Environmental Award. As always, there was some tough competition however their overall attitude to safety on their pipeline section of the NI Water Upper Newtownards Road Sewer Upgrade scheme, tipped the Board’s decision in their favour. Unfortunately DAWSON-WAM’s Barry Trainer was unable to present the award therefore big thanks to Site Engineer Gareth Crawford for stepping up.
Behavioural Training at Graham BAM Healthcare Royal Victoria Hospital Project
Graham-BAM Healthcare Partnership and DAWSON-WAM Construction Teams Enjoy Actor Safety Training. Prior to working together on the new RVH Maternity Hospital in Belfast members of both teams enjoyed some thought provoking safety themed acting provided by Dramanon. At times it was hard hitting. However generally it was an afternoon for all to reflect on how planning and on-site communication can aid safety on site. Good luck to all on this new project.
£1.5 million of of improvements
DAWSON-WAM have completed NI Water £1.5 million of of improvements at Newpoint Wastewater Pumping Station, Warrenpoint Road Newry. The project included upgrades to the station by replacing screens, pumps and other systems increase capacity of the works. Peter Ferguson, NI Water’s Senior Project Manager said, “NI Water and our project team including Dawson WAM and McAdam Design worked well together to deliver this project on schedule and welcomed the opportunity to work with other local companies in the supply chain, including Newry-based company Murphy Process Engineering who installed and commissioned the new plant.” Photo: Newry Times
