Matthew Surgenor wins Harry Ferguson Award for Apprenticeship


Congratulations to our apprentice heavy plant fitter Matthew Surgenor who was awarded the annual bursary by The Harry Ferguson Celebration Committee for his efforts within his apprenticeship.

The Bursary Award was awarded by the Cromie family in memory of George Cromie who was a long time member of The Harry Ferguson Celebration Committee and has long established links with the South Eastern Regional College in Lisburn.

The annual bursary of a tool voucher to a Construction Plant student who is considered to be most worthy by the SERC.

Basil Colhoun, Lecturer in Construction Plant Maintenance said, “We choose Matthew Surgenor due to his positive attitude to learning, effort in class and the progress he has made.”

Matthew is due to finish his Level 3 qualification in June 2018 and with his continued hard work hopes to be complete by Easter 2018.
